The school building was destroyed by the flood while the school children were asleep inside. Four of them were later found dead.
For now, the flood waters have reduced in Mokwa, Nigeria and we have conducted a Rapid Assessment to determine the extent of needs in the Area. We met he and some other people trying to salvage what was left of their now destroyed lives.
As things stand now, information is sketchy and we are still gathering data as fast as we can. We want to target 500 families in Mokwa and help them get back on their feet. There are so many priorities. Families need proper housing, clean water and we want to prevent a water borne disease outbreak. But we can’t do it alone. At this point, every last bit helps.
