This is Abdullahi Usman, 61, he lost his pregnant wife and 4 children as well as his younger sister. He said his immediate younger brother whom he was going to rescue before his incident occurred suffered the same fate.
As things stand now, the flood waters are receding, however information is sketchy and we are still gathering data as fast as we can. We want to target 500 families in Mokwa and help them get back on their feet. There are so many priorities. Families need proper housing, clean water and we want to prevent a water borne disease outbreak. But we can’t do it alone. At this point, every last bit helps.
